So we don't. And do mistrust everybody, who wants to sell his perfection. But we have learnt and we are still learning - each day.

1889 Foundation by Gustav Obermeyer, Maschinenfabrik, Plauen. He has done many useful things. And not bad for sure. The company developed beneath him and he navigated the company through hard times. This is a tradition we want to continue!
1923 Production of power turbines and textile machinery. What was needed in these times...
1945 Tube filling machines and equipment for pharmaceutical industry. Not bad. We are now approaching our present field of business. And... 1000 years were gone and Red Flags waving in the wind.

1976 Integration of the company into the Nagema group. Now Honecker and his companions got the comapny completely. A "real-socialistic" name was established - "Spemafa", a name without soul. This name served as a basis for "SpeMaba" due to acute lack of imagination - we will change that!
1980 Delivery of the 1000th tube filling and closing machine, Not bad, eh?
1993 Start-up with our production range filling machines, packaging machines, automation via Mr. D. Buchner et.al.
2005 Take-over of SpeMaba by Dr. Thomas W. Richter, now the only associate.
2007 Extension of the model range. Now we are producing all kinds of packaging machines - even cartoners!
2008: Our new name is our old name Gustav Obermeyer - "Spemaba" is only for the pupose of recognizing us but will not last for very long...
2009 Fullrenovation of our facilities. The hovel "Made in GDR" is now a jewel in the midth of Plauen. Our oval-machine becomes the standard platform
2010: Our machines are copied by a large German company in machinery building - a proof of our creativity!
